Catholic Health’s Community Outreach is partnering with the Matt Urban Hope Center to offer Buffalo’s East Side underserved families a FREE event, BACK 2 SCHOOL. The first 200 school-aged youths who attend and participate will receive a free backpack stocked with school supplies to help get them ready for the new school year.

Mission On The Move with the help of Sisters of Charity Hospital doctor residents, Dr. Felstead, and Dr. Harbison, will provide a variety of free health screenings including blood pressure, cholesterol, BMI, and full physical exams.

The Mobile Mammography Unit will be on site from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., providing free mammograms. Plus, multiple exhibitors including Fidelis Care and the Erie County, NY Department of Health, will be on hand offering free services such as CPR training, haircuts, and much more.

The Matt Urban Hope Center serves kids and adults with family social supports including after school care, free hot meals, professional clothes closet, tax prep, housing and job assistance. Catholic Health has partnered with them for several years, assisting with health services for Buffalo’s homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless.
