Listen To Your Heart:
Valve Disease, AFib and Irregular Heartbeats
Tuesday, February 9, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Salvatore’s Italian Gardens
6461 Transit Rd.
Feel like there’s an elephant sitting on your chest? Is it hard to catch your breath, or do you feel dizzy, even when lying down? Does your heart flip-flop, or beat irregularly?
More than 5 million in the US are diagnosed with heart valve disease and an irregular heartbeat called AFib each year. Some experience these symptoms, others just feel tired.
If you have had a heart attack, heart murmur, mitral valve prolapse, or other heart issue you may be at higher risk of developing valve disease or AFib.
What symptoms should you look for? What can you do to decrease your risk? Are there treatments?
