During the fight against COVID-19 there will be a number of unseen heroes. They are hidden behind masks, tucked into laboratories and small offices, or walking into patient rooms after discharge, but they will all make a significant impact. Four anonymous donors are recognizing these healthcare workers at all four Catholic Health’s acute sites – Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Sisters of Charity Hospital – Main Street Campus, Mercy Hospital of Buffalo, and Mount St. Mary’s Hospital – during Holy Week which began on April 5, Palm Sunday.
Special Delivery for Healthcare Workers
Deliveries included meals from Salvatore’s Italian Gardens to Kenmore Mercy Hospital and Sisters of Charity Hospital, Main Street Campus; Pita Gourmet to Mercy Hospital of South Buffalo; and The Delaware to Mount St. Mary’s Hospital.
“COVID-19 takes no breaks, even during Holy Week, which means many of our healthcare workers will not have the opportunity to enjoy special meals with their loved ones this Easter,” said Craig Harris, Vice President of Development, Foundations of Catholic Health. “These generous donors wanted to show their appreciation for the dedication of our Catholic Health associates and ensure they would have a warm meal to enjoy.”
