Partnership with Excelsior Orthopaedics Expands Orthopedic Services at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital

Improving access to high quality orthopedic care for residents throughout Niagara County, Mount St. Mary’s welcomed three new physicians to its medical staff and announced a new agreement with Excelsior Orthopaedics

Following the opening of Excelsior Orthopaedics’ new Niagara Falls office, Mount St. Mary’s reached an agreement with the specialty group. As part of the agreement, Excelsior Orthopaedics surgeons Adam Burzynski, MD, and Matthew Mann, MD, will perform surgery at the hospital.

Excelsior Orthopaedic Surgeons

Dr. Burzynski earned his Bachelor’s Degree from SUNY Buffalo and his Medical Degree from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. Specializing in orthopedics and sports medicine, he completed an orthopedic surgical residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and a sports medicine fellowship at the University at Buffalo, where he served as an Assistant Team Physician for the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres.

Dr. Mann received his medical degree from McGill University in Montreal where he also completed his residency and orthopedic surgery training. A specialist in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and joint reconstruction and replacement, he completed fellowships in knee and hip reconstruction at the University of British Columbia and foot and ankle surgery at Toronto Western Hospital.

New Orthopedic Team at Mount St. Mary’s Hospital

Stephen Watkins, DO, a resident of Lewiston, has also joined the hospital’s Orthopedic Services team. A graduate of Buffalo State College, Dr. Watkins earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Science in Medical Education degrees from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA.

The new doctors join Mount St. Mary’s growing Orthopedic Services team, which includes Dr. Kafai Lai, Dr. Mark Mieth, Dr. Donald Nenno, and Dr. Joseph Bax.
