Community Screenings & Classes
Catholic Health is focused on promoting wellness and access to proper healthcare in our communities. That’s why we host free community health screenings and classes throughout the year.
Take advantage of the following screenings in your neighborhood! General health screenings vary and may include:
- Blood Pressure
- Cholesterol
- Pulse Ox
- Body Mass Index
If you are in interested in receiving a specific screening and/or test, please call us at (716) 923-7154.
No appointment is necessary to receive your free health screening at any of our screening events. Screenings are subject to availability.

Lockport Car Seat Safety Event

Lockport Memorial Hospital, 6001 Shimer Dr, Lockport, NY 14094, USAEnsure your children are as safe as possible in their car seats and reduce the risk of injury. Find out if your car seat is in good working order, is the correct size for your child, and has not expired. For best results, bring your children to be measured and fit.
You may even receive a complimentary car seat.*
*Quantities are limited. Available to those with WIC or Medicaid eligibility, while supplies last.PLUS face painting, balloon animals, and health information!
Come see us at the Lockport hospital! Come in the main entrance and follow the signs, we will have a tent set up for easy viewing in the parking lot.

Car Seat Safety (Buffalo)

144 Genesee St, Buffalo, NY 14203, USAOne hour time spots available for 1:1 car seat safety installation assistance with a Child Passenger Safety Technician. If you already have a car seat for your child - please bring it with you. This time is to review the safety features of your car seat and look at installation into your vehicle. (If you do not have a vehicle, we will practice installation on our training seat.) There is a great Webex class to watch before your appointment if you get a chance - it is free at www.chsbuffalo.org/carseatsafety - if you are hoping to receive a grant seat at your appointment, you NEED to watch this class and do the quiz at the end!
For June 1st - we are welcoming Blue Cross Blue Shield to the event and they are willing to provide diapers for Medicaid eligible families! Just give HealthConnection the size diaper needed when you register!
We will be doing the car seat checks outside - PLEASE dress for the weather!
